Change Music, then check the result
Open SETTINGS and find Music, the background-music switch for building. Change it once, return to the workspace, and listen before adjusting anything else.
In Build Your Voxel Coaster, you can check background music separately from building and ride sounds. For a quieter soundtrack while keeping audible actions, start with Music rather than muting your device.
Read the two audio controls separately
The September 17, 2026 SETTINGS panel showed Music with an ON state and a separate audio control described as “Building, blasts and coasters.” Read both labels and their states on your current panel.
Decide whether you want to change the background track or the sounds of game actions. Test the matching control first, then listen before changing the other one.
| Your goal | First control to inspect | How to check the result |
|---|---|---|
| Reduce background music | Music | Listen while standing in the workspace |
| Adjust building or ride sounds | Control for building, blasts and coasters | Listen during an ordinary action or ride |
| Hear nothing from the game | Both game audio controls and device volume | Compare with another known sound on your device |
| Keep a comfortable overall level | Device or platform volume | Adjust the level after choosing game options |
If you cannot hear the game, play a familiar sound on the same device. That check helps you find a muted output before you keep changing game options.
Use a short listening test
Choose a quiet moment in your session. Look at the Music state, change it once, and return to the building area. Listen long enough to recognize whether the background track matches your preference.
Then test the other audio control separately. Use an ordinary building action or a ride you already know how to test. There is no need to use TNT just to check sound.
Change one control at a time so you can hear what it does. Adjusting both switches and device volume together leaves you repeating the test to find the cause. Once the sound suits you, return to your coaster.
Work through missing sound in order
If the expected sound is missing, start with the simplest checks:
- Read the current Music and action-audio states in SETTINGS.
- Confirm that your device or platform volume is audible.
- Check whether the sound is going to the output you are using, such as speakers or headphones.
- Test another familiar sound on that device.
- Return to the game and repeat the single-control listening test.
If another application is also silent, keep investigating the device output. If other audio works, return to the game settings and check which type of game sound you expected to hear.
When you join a later session, open SETTINGS again and check the switch states. Listen briefly to confirm your preference before continuing the build.
Keep audio choices separate from paid features
SETTINGS also has a PASSES section. Read the 2X Speed player movement description separately; use Music and the action-audio control for sound adjustments.
Read the specific description beside the control you are changing. Use the game passes guide for offer comparisons, then return to the beginner guide when you are ready to continue building.
FAQ
Where is the Music option?
Open SETTINGS and look for Music with the background-music description. Read its current ON or OFF state.
Is Music the same as building and coaster sounds?
The panel presents them as separate audio controls. Test each control independently to choose your preferred combination.
Why should I check my headphones or speakers?
A muted or different output device can affect every application. Testing another known sound helps identify that situation.
How do I confirm my audio preference after rejoining?
Open SETTINGS, inspect the displayed states, and run a short listening test. Use what is currently shown rather than assuming the previous session’s settings.
