Save a version you can recognize
Open SAVE, select the usable card intended for this build, and press its SAVE control. Then read the card again. A saved preview and recent-save details give you something concrete to check before you leave or change the coaster.
Check the card after each manual save. For AutoSave, inspect the current panel for its update timing and compare the saved preview with your latest work before leaving.
Pick the destination before pressing SAVE
The SAVES panel shown on September 17, 2026 contained six cards. AutoSave and Slot 2 were usable on that account; four other cards were locked. Your own access may differ, so choose from the cards that actually offer the action you need.
An Empty card and an existing saved card need different attention. With an empty destination, you are establishing a version. With an occupied destination, first decide whether that is the version you mean to update. Read any prompt the current interface provides before proceeding.
| Card detail | What it helps you decide |
|---|---|
| Empty | Whether this is an unused destination for your build |
| Saved preview | Which creation the card currently represents |
| Recent-save text | Whether the card reflects the save you just made |
| SAVE control | Where to store the current version |
| Locked state | Whether that card is available on this account |
The save slots guide covers how to organize usable destinations. You do not need to unlock every visible card to start checking a manual save.
Make one clear change, then check the card
For an initial test, use a small creation with an obvious feature: a short rail strip beside one wooden block, for example. That gives you a simple visual reference when the card updates.
- Finish the small version you want to store.
- Open SAVE and identify the intended usable card.
- Read the existing card state and any current save prompt.
- Activate that card’s SAVE control.
- Check the resulting preview and save details against your creation.
In the September 17 example, Slot 2 changed from Empty to a saved thumbnail with recent-save text and a LOAD control after SAVE was used. That change is the useful checkpoint. The example’s block count and displayed capacity belong to that account and date; use the values shown in your own panel.
If the card has not changed as expected, keep the panel open long enough to inspect its current message. Recheck the selected destination before taking another action. Do not leave simply because you clicked a button once.
Save at a useful stopping point
A recognizable milestone is easier to manage than several barely different versions. Finish the short route, check it with the minecart guide, and then save that state before adding a larger tunnel or replacing a corner.
When you have another usable slot, you can reserve it for a test version. When you have only one suitable destination, decide whether the current changes are ready to replace the version it represents. The important part is knowing what each card is for before using it.
Check cash and TNT in their own panels when you want to track those values. Use the saved coaster preview to identify the build version, then check account resources separately.
Check loading before relying on a larger project
After a manual save looks correct, use a disposable sample to learn how the current LOAD action behaves. Follow the load guide before testing it on a valuable creation.
A card update confirms the manual save step you just checked. Test return visits with a small creation, and inspect the current interface for any backup or recovery option before relying on it. Keep the sample easy to rebuild while you learn the workflow.
FAQ
Where do I manually save my coaster?
Open SAVE and use SAVE on the intended usable card in the SAVES panel. Read the card afterward to check its preview and save details.
How can I tell that the card changed?
Look for the saved thumbnail and recent-save state. In the September 17 example, an Empty Slot 2 gained a preview and LOAD control after saving.
Does AutoSave save at a fixed interval?
Check AutoSave timing in the current panel and manually confirm the version you intend to keep.
Are six slots available to every player?
Six cards were visible in the September 17 example, with two usable on that account. Check your own card states rather than treating that example as a universal entitlement.
Can I recover an overwritten version?
Check for a current recovery option before updating an occupied card. First identify the destination and the version you intend to retain.
